KUWAIT CITY, March 24: The Public Authority for Industry has issued directives to industrial craft license holders to update their licenses in compliance with Law No. 56 of 1996 and its subsequent amendments and regulations, reports Al-Jarida daily. Failure to do so within the specified timeframe may lead to the authority exercising its legal powers.

Furthermore, in an effort to ensure adherence to Kuwaiti, Gulf, and international standards for imported and local products, the PAI has designated eight employees, in addition to their regular duties, to conduct monitoring activities. These employees are authorized to enter industrial establishments, craft headquarters, stores, and shops, collect samples, review records, and enforce compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Ministerial Resolution No. 2 of 2024 underscores these measures, following a thorough review of standardization and industry laws, including amendments related to the Unified Industrial Regulation Law for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
