PAFN shuts down 5 firms for selling unfit foodstuff

KUWAIT CITY, March 17: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) announced that its Capital Governorate Inspection Department closed five food establishments as part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of food products and protect consumer health. PAFN revealed that the violations included offering food unfit for human consumption, selling adulterated products, thawing frozen meat to sell as fresh, and failing to adhere to general hygiene standards during operations. It affirmed that inspection and monitoring campaigns on food establishments in all governorates will continue to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain food safety in the markets.
