PACI to launch virtual Civil ID via smart phones

KUWAIT CITY, April 15: The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) is preparing to launch an application via smart phones, showing the Civil ID of the person according to the latest data, and obviating him/her from carrying the real card.

Informed sources stated that the application has been downloaded to smart device stores experimentally, indicating that its new features will be announced soon.

The application’s description in smart device stores states it will bear the name ‘My ID’ which is provided by PACI for citizens and residents, and is a secure digital identity, which can be used to verify the identity of its holder, authentication and safe entry to government and non-governmental e-services, and the approved electronic signature of transactions, documents and e-documents.
