KUWAIT CITY, March 8: The Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) Eng. Salem Al-Hai conducted an inspection visit to several farms and production companies in Wafra to assess their operational status, reports Al-Anba daily. In a press statement, PAAAFR explained that these field visits are part of its commitment to supporting local farmers and producers and monitoring operations at national farms, thereby contributing to increased local production and strengthening the foundations of food security.
The tour included a visit to a livestock production company, where production and storage facilities and distribution mechanisms were reviewed. PAAAFR emphasized the vital role of the agricultural and livestock sectors in supporting and enhancing Kuwait’s food security system, particularly given the current regional circumstances.
the visit, Al-Hai reviewed the production mechanisms and operational capacity of a company specializing in table egg production. The company produces between 850 and 1,000 cartons of eggs daily, with each carton containing 12 trays, resulting in a daily production of approximately 306,000 eggs. The tour also included a broiler chicken farm that produces about 10,000 chickens per day, which reflects the size of the production capacity that contributes to supporting the local market.
