KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: Residents of Abbasiya – Block 4 have raised concerns about a persistent issue of overloaded gutters on Street 6 and Street 8, located beside the United Indian School. The residential area, predominantly occupied by expatriate families, is facing daily water overflow from the gutter system, causing severe inconvenience to locals.
The overflowing water has made it particularly difficult for school-going children to navigate the streets safely, while elderly residents also struggle with the hazardous conditions. Locals have warned that the situation poses serious health risks, as stagnant water can attract mosquitoes and other pests, potentially spreading diseases.
Visuals captured by residents highlight the deteriorating condition of the streets, showing water accumulation and blocked drainage. Municipality authorities have yet to take timely action to resolve the problem, leaving the community frustrated and concerned for their safety. Residents are urging the relevant municipal authorities to step in immediately to repair the gutter system and ensure safe passage for children and residents in the area.
