KUWAIT CITY, June 25: Assistant Undersecretary for Social Welfare and Development at the Ministry of Social Affairs Iman Al-Enezi confirmed that donations made through the Central Aid Platform have exceeded KD36 million since its launch about one and a half years ago.

In a statement to Kuwait TV, Al-Enezi indicated that all of these donations are allocated for the provision of aid within the country. She disclosed that aid requests are submitted through the platform and sorted according to the specialization of each charitable organization. She added that requests for family sponsorship are referred to the relevant organizations, while medical requests are directed to the specialized associations.

She stated that the platform greatly contributed to ongoing efforts to organize charitable work, ensure that aid reaches those who deserve it, and prevent duplication of aid disbursements. She emphasized that donation requests are submitted only through the platform, not by directly contacting charities. She affirmed that all types of aid are disbursed through the platform, indicating that the amount of donations continues to increase, hence proving the success of the initiative to localize charitable action and prioritize the provision of aid within Kuwait.
