KUWAIT CITY, April 23: More than 900 Lebanese living in Kuwait have expressed their desire to return ‘home’ and are said to have registered their names at the Lebanese embassy in Kuwait, pending the opening of airspace and coordination between the two countries in preparation for the launching of flights.

The sources say a flight from Kuwait to Beirut is expected to take off on April 27 with some of the passengers to Lebanon although some of them have valid residence until 2021, but among them are also people who lost their jobs due to the spread of coronavirus, and have decided to return to their homeland until the crisis ends and life comes to normal.

In addition, sources in the aviation sector revealed the possibility of both the Kuwait Airways and Al-Jazeera Airways organizing fl ights for the Lebanese residents wishing to return to their homes. This will be done in coordination with the Lebanese embassy in the country
