Over 50 violations of water, power theft recorded

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Deputy Head of Judicial Arrest in the Ministry of Electricity and Water Ahmad Al Shammari affirmed that the regular task of the Judicial Arrest Team is in two directions.

The first is to launch guidance and educative campaigns for Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates, and it’s to oblige the populace to keep the rules and regulations governing Electricity and Water consumption.

In a statement, Al-Shammari explained the second task of the judicial arrest team is to follow up violations and disconnect the electricity and water to defaulters and other violators.

He noted more than 50 violations related to water and electricity theft have been recorded, in addition to wastage of water, in cooperation between the Ministry of Electricity and Water, other ministries, and government institutions.
