RIYADH Oct 14,: The number of football federations pledging their support for Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup has exceeded 100 international associations, with the latest endorsements confirmed as of last Thursday.

This milestone comes just one week after Saudi Arabia officially declared its candidacy to host the World Cup. The Saudi Football Association formally submitted a letter to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on the previous Monday, expressing their intent to host the 2034 edition of the global football tournament.

The list of supporting federations now includes five civil football federations who have joined in backing Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 World Cup. Notable among these new supporters are China Taipei, alongside Sierra Leone, Mali, Seychelles, and the Cayman Islands, collectively pushing the tally of endorsing federations beyond 100.

The President of the Saudi Football Federation has emphasized that this announcement marks a significant moment, showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to the continued growth and progress of football. It reflects the nation's passion for the sport and its aspiration to host this remarkable event, aligning with the dynamic developments taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
