KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: The Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States honored 12 Kuwaiti students for receiving the Academic Excellence Award for general education students in the sixteenth session, which was held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, for the academic year 2022-2023, under the patronage of the Minister of Education of the Sultanate of Oman.

Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, Maryam Al-Anazi, stated that the honor comes from the Arab Education Office’s interest in encouraging students to excel academically, and urging them to exert seriousness and diligence, according to criteria that included that the participant be an outstanding student at the end of the academic stages in the fifth, ninth, and twelfth grades, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Anazi announced, in a press statement, the names of the honored students -- Salem Al-Jarki from Farwaniya High School, Hoor Bassam Al-Jiran from Algeria High School, Abdullah Hashem Al-Hashemi from Salem Al-Mubarak High School, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Qattan from Abdullah Al-Jaber High School, Qanout Nayef Al-Ajami from Amna Bint Al-Arqam High School, Almas Mishal Al-Dhafiri from Amna Bint Al-Arqam High School, Areej Sant Al-Mutairi from Al-Raqqa High School, Anwar Falah Al-Hajri from Safiya Bint Abdul Muttalib High School, Hussein Abdullah Falah from Saleh Shehab High School, Al-Jawd Ibrahim Al-Mutairi from Al-Raqqa High School the Central Middle School for Girls, Jassim Sayed Al Hashemi from the Salman Al Musawi Intermediate School for Boys, Jassim Muhammad Ali Bash from the Mulla Hussein Al Kandari Intermediate School for Boys.
