KUWAIT CITY, March 31: The Ministry of Social Affairs said the Ministry of Health in its reply to the issue on opening the nurseries said the issue falls within the responsibility of the Council of Ministers. However, reliable sources told Al- Seyassah daily, the Social Affairs Ministry had sent a letter to the Ministry of Health last January to discuss the possibility of opening private nurseries and the Health Ministry replied saying the issue does not fall within its competence saying it has to be looked into by the Corona Emergency Committee in the Council of Ministers.

The sources pointed out that the Ministry of Social Affairs is preparing for the return of nurseries to coincide with the opening of schools, while adhering to health requirements and providing all health needs, such as masks, temperature checks, and others. On the other hand, sources confirmed that there is a tendency to rotate department of directors and departments’ heads but a final decision is still in the offing.
