An expat in Kuwait was caught on camera riding a two-wheeler with total disregard for traffic laws. The Traffic Department in Kuwait has already warned everyone not to ride two-wheelers on pedestrian crossings and bridges, which is against the law, and violators will be deported. Expats in Kuwait are now required to pay all traffic fines under their name before traveling, according to a new rule. The Ministry of Interior in Kuwait has clarified that every foreigner who wishes to fly out must first settle any traffic violations they may have incurred.

The new rule came into effect on August 19, 2023, and penalties can be paid through the Ministry of Interior’s official app or electronic portal or at offices affiliated with the General Traffic Department. The new law in Kuwait reduces the number of licensed drivers and is expected to negatively impact the automotive sector. To ease road congestion, Kuwait has passed a new law to reduce the number of drivers and implement specific criteria for foreigners who can obtain a driving license
