One More Vessel Hit Deliberately by a Projectile This Time Off UAE Coast

DUBAI, July 20: A commercial vessel was struck by an unknown projectile 17 nautical miles east of Dibba, United Arab Emirates, causing damage to its steering gear, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported on Monday.

UKMTO said all crew members were safe following the incident and that there was no environmental impact reported. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The incident comes amid heightened maritime security concerns in the Arabian Sea and surrounding waters.
