One More Tanker Struck by Unidentified Projectile off the Coast of Oman

LONDON, Oct 11: A tanker transiting outbound through the Strait of Hormuz (off Oman coast) was struck by an unidentified projectile on Sunday, sustaining damage to its port side, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported.

According to UKMTO incident warning 164-26, the incident occurred at 1200 UTC on October 11. All crew members were reported safe, and no environmental impact was reported at the time of the attack. Authorities are investigating the incident. UKMTO advised vessels transiting the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
