One More Tanker Hit by Missile Near Oman's Limah, UKMTO Issues Maritime Warning

LONDON, July 14: A tanker was struck by a missile while transiting the southern outbound shipping route near Oman on Tuesday, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said.

In an advisory, UKMTO said it had received a report of an incident about 13 nautical miles southeast of Limah, Oman. The vessel reported being hit by a missile while sailing outbound through the area.

Authorities are investigating the incident.

UKMTO urged vessels transiting the region to exercise caution and immediately report any suspicious activity, warning that the security situation remains volatile.
