KUWAIT CITY, March 18: The Ministry of Interior, Kuwait announced that the State Security Agency has successfully thwarted yet another planned terrorist operation targeting vital facilities in the country following extensive surveillance and investigations.

Authorities said 10 Kuwaiti citizens were arrested for their involvement in the plot, describing them as members of a cell linked to the banned group Hezbollah. The suspects are accused of coordinating with external entities and attempting to gather and transmit sensitive information, including locations of targeted sites, posing a direct threat to national security.

Investigations revealed that the group had received training abroad at camps affiliated with Hezbollah, where they were instructed in weapons use and drone operations as part of preparations to carry out sabotage attacks aimed at destabilizing the country and spreading fear. Officials said the accused have provided detailed confessions outlining their activities and plans.

The Interior Ministry stressed that it will take firm action against anyone involved in activities that threaten national security or collaborate with terrorist organizations. It reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding Kuwait’s sovereignty and stability, warning that security forces will continue to pursue and confront any threats with strict legal measures and zero tolerance.
