One Killed, Four Wounded in Blast at Iraqi Militia Ammunition Depot

BAGHDAD, Oct 17 : An explosion at an ammunition depot belonging to Iraq’s Iran-backed Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in eastern Baghdad on Saturday killed one member of the group and wounded four others, according to Iraqi security and medical sources.

The PMF said the explosion occurred when a stockpile of damaged ammunition detonated at one of its facilities.

The blast triggered a fire, which the group said had been brought under control. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the explosion.
