KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: A camel fell onto three expatriates, killing one of them, injuring another who was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) at Sabah Hospital, and the other miraculously escaped injury. A team from Qash’aniyah Police Station rushed to Falah Road in the northern part of the country, as per the instructions of the director of the station and the deputy public prosecutor, to obtain the testimonies of those who witnessed the accident. It was discovered that a motorcycle collided with a camel, which fell onto the victims.
This resulted in the death of one expatriate, while another sustained multiple fractures and internal bleeding, and the other was unscathed. A security source informed the daily that the Operations Unit at the Ministry of Interior received a report from Abdally Clinic, stating that three individuals were referred to it.
The source added a patrol from Qash’aniyah Police Station immediately went to the clinic and took the statement of the person who transported the three expatriates, a Bangladeshi.
When asked about the incident, the Bangladeshi revealed that he was driving along Falah Road at 8:30 am on the day of the accident, and then he saw a group of people gathered on the road, and they asked him for help. “When I got out, I found three people lying on the ground,” he added. Eyewitnesses also stated that the three injured people were on a motorcycle when a herd of camels crossed the road, and one of the animals lagged, causing the collision.
