One basket shrimps for KD 15; 700 baskets sold

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: A free fall in the prices of shrimp with the increase in the supply of shrimp to the market, a basket was sold for 15 dinars in the Sharq market auction yesterday afternoon, while the price of one kilo in the stalls varied starting from 3 dinars according to size, after the price of shrimp reached 66 dinars for one basket at the beginning of the month, reports Al-Rai daily.

He explained that “the price of a kilo of shrimp on the stalls in Sharq ranges from one to 3 dinars, depending on the size, while the mead has disappeared from the market,” stressing that “what is caught is in small quantities and does not enter the market.”
