Oman's Salalah Port Hit by Drone Attack; One Injured, Minor Damage Reported

MUSCAT, Mar 28: The port of Salalah in Oman was targeted by two unmanned aerial vehicles, resulting in moderate injuries to an expatriate worker and limited damage to port infrastructure, according to a security source cited by the Oman News Agency.

The incident damaged a crane at the port facilities, though operations were not reported to be significantly disrupted.

Authorities in the Sultanate strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a hostile act. Officials reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to taking all necessary measures to safeguard national security and ensure the safety of residents and workers across the country.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the strike, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
