MUSCAT, Sept 13: A meeting in Oman between Iran and Gulf countries to discuss possible agreements on the Strait of Hormuz has been postponed, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said Sunday.

The meeting had been scheduled for Monday in Oman. Albusaidi announced the postponement on X but did not give a new date. He said the delay was made in the interest of consensus and efforts to support regional stability and cooperation.

The talks were expected to address arrangements concerning shipping through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, amid continuing tensions and disruptions affecting maritime traffic in the region
