MUSCAT, Mar 6: Oman Oil Marketing Company has issued a clarification regarding recent reports circulating on March 5 about an alleged attack on a fuel tank, stating that the coverage inaccurately described the incident.

The company confirmed that the event actually took place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, when one of its fuel tanks at Duqm Commercial Port was targeted. In its statement, Oman Oil Marketing Company emphasized that operations continue without interruption and urged the public and media to rely on official sources before sharing unverified information.

According to the Oman News Agency, citing a security source, the incident involved multiple drones targeting the port’s fuel tanks, with one drone striking a tank. The agency confirmed that the damage was contained and no human casualties were recorded. Oman strongly condemned the drone strike and affirmed that all necessary measures are being taken to address the incident.

Authorities stressed that the safety of personnel and the continuity of operations at Duqm Port remain fully intact despite the attack.
