MUSCAT, May 31: Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed regional developments, maritime security and bilateral cooperation during a phone call on Sunday, according to Oman’s state news agency.
The two leaders reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at supporting security and stability in the region amid evolving geopolitical developments.
They also discussed measures to safeguard freedom of maritime navigation and ensure the uninterrupted flow of international trade, a key concern as tensions continue to affect major shipping routes.
In addition, Sultan Haitham and Macron examined ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership between Oman and France across various sectors.
The call reflects continued coordination between Muscat and Paris on regional issues and their shared interest in promoting stability, security and economic cooperation.
