Oman ambassador praises Al-Jarallah’s media legacy

KUWAIT CITY, July 28: Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Kuwait Dr. Saleh bin Amer Al-Kharousi sent a letter to Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah in light of the end of his tenure in the country, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In his letter, Al-Kharousi expressed his sincere wish for the full recovery of Al-Jarallah from his recent illness.

He also expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Al-Jarallah, asserting that his six-year term in Kuwait -- from 2020 to 2026 -- provided him with an ideal opportunity to get to know Al-Jarallah closely, a relationship that extends beyond the professional sphere to a cherished friendship with positive professional implications. He explained that his friendship with Al-Jarallah contributed to strengthening the ties between the two brotherly countries, particularly in the media and cultural fields. He commended the pioneering and distinguished media role of the two newspapers in highlighting the rich and ongoing cooperation between Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman in various sectors. He concluded his letter by wishing Al-Jarallah continuous success, and the State of Kuwait and its brotherly people more progress and prosperity.

In his response to the letter, Al-Jarallah expressed his deep appreciation for Al-Kharousi’s message, thanking him for his sincere sentiments. Al-Jarallah added that the tenure of Al-Kharousi in Kuwait was a wonderful experience that strengthened the bonds of friendship based on affection, a relationship that has existed between Kuwaitis and Omanis since ancient times. He affirmed the ties of friendship, brotherhood, kinship and shared history between the two brotherly peoples. He praised the distinguished performance of the outgoing ambassador in representing the Sultanate of Oman and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. He also confirmed his pride in the friendship that he developed with Al-Kharousi, stressing that the two newspapers are keen on further solidifying cooperation with Oman and its embassy in the State of Kuwait. He concluded his message by praying that his relationship with Al-Kharousi will continue, and wished him more success and prosperity in his endeavors.
