KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: A police officer was assaulted while carrying out his duties during a security campaign in the Ardiya area. According to authorities, the officer was verbally abused and physically assaulted by a stateless individual while on duty.
A security source said campaign personnel were able to apprehend the suspect despite his attempt to flee the scene by driving away in his vehicle. He was taken into custody, and the necessary legal measures were initiated. A case was registered at the Salibiya Police Station on charges of assaulting a public employee while performing official duties and insulting an employee. The suspect will be referred to the competent authorities to complete the required legal procedures.
