KUWAIT CITY, July 1: The Jahra police in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality raided a farmhouse in the desert of Rahiya which the owner had allegedly turned into discotheque and brothel where wild parties were held at nighttime, reports Al- Rai daily. The daily added, the securitymen found inside the farmhouse bottles of booze (locally-manufactured and imported, some of them empty), women’s clothing and other contraband.
Inside the compound there were also prefabricated houses which the owner had transformed into ‘bedrooms’ for those who wanted to take a break from the party for ‘recreation’ activities. The security sources indicated the farmhouse was raided after receiving a tip-off from unidentified sources. When the police raided the place no one was found inside, but bottles of booze, some half empty and women’s evening gowns and makeup sets were all over the place signifying people had left in a hurry before the raid happened. The same sources said the raiding party has seized the leftovers and with the help of the Kuwait Municipality have demolished the farmhouse. Police investigations are continuing and a report has been filed at the area police station.
