SANYA, China, June 29: The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has officially approved the inclusion of 14 sports in the program for the 6th Asian Beach Games, set to take place in Sanya, Hainan Province, China, from April 22 to 30, 2026. The decision was made during a recent meeting of the OCA Executive Committee.

The confirmed sports for the event include:

Open water swimming, Water polo, 3x3 basketball, Beach athletics, Dragon boat racing, Beach soccer, Beach handball, Jiu-jitsu, Beach kabaddi, Sailing, Teqball, Triathlon (athlon), Speed climbing, Beach volleyball, Beach wrestling

The OCA also confirmed that the Sanya Asian Beach Games Organizing Committee (SABGOC) will soon distribute the full details of the sports program to relevant international and continental federations. This step is part of the ongoing preparations aimed at delivering a highly organized and prestigious edition of the Games, further solidifying Asia’s leading role in hosting major multi-sport events.
