‘Nowhere to hide for debtors in Kuwait, clear dues ASAP’

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: The Ministry of Interior announced the activation of arrest warrants for debtors and their integration with the “Rased” application, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In an official statement, the ministry explained that, following the issuance of Decree-Law No. 58/2025, which amends the Bankruptcy Law, arrest warrants and detention orders for debtors have been activated and directly linked to the “Rased” application, enabling security teams to implement procedures immediately. Arrest warrants will be enforced on public roads, at security checkpoints, and at air, land, and sea borders to ensure the quick apprehension of wanted individuals and prevent any attempts to evade legal procedures. Those wanted by law have the option to settle their outstanding amounts or fulfill their financial obligations directly at the airport or through the Sahel app’s Ministry of Justice Electronic Payment Services. The ministry urged all individuals with outstanding warrants or financial obligations to take immediate action to settle their affairs to avoid enforcement measures carried out in the field through the electronic link with the “Rased” application.
