KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: The Kuwait Hotel Owners Association has confirmed that hotels choosing to display Christmas trees will not face any interference or penalties, stressing that clear and explicit instructions have been issued to the relevant authorities on the matter.

In an official letter, the Association explained that this clarification was issued in response to concerns raised by a representative of the Hotel Owners Union during a meeting of the Supreme Tourism Committee. The representative had drawn attention to violations reportedly recorded against several hotels for displaying Christmas trees on their premises.

The Association stated that, following these discussions, firm directives were circulated instructing inspectors and supervisory bodies not to interfere with hotels that decide to put up Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees. It also emphasized that no fines or administrative measures should be imposed in such cases.

The confirmation aims to remove ambiguity and reassure hotel operators that displaying seasonal decorations remains permissible, provided all other applicable regulations are observed.
