KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: The Labor Relations Department at the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has started implementing a new mechanism for receiving and handling labor complaints, particularly those filed against small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
According to the source, this is in line with ongoing efforts to develop the work system and improve the quality of services. He disclosed that the new mechanism allows the receipt of complaints through the labor relations departments in the governorates, instead of centralizing them in Mubarak Al-Kabeer as was the practice earlier. He pointed out that this move will ease pressure and ensure a fairer and more organized distribution of cases.
The source indicated that the new distribution of complaints will be on an appointment basis, taking into account the nature of each case and its registration source -- whether in terms of the governorate or the relevant labor department. He emphasized that this step saves time and effort for workers and expedites the resolution of labor disputes. The source reiterated that this mechanism is in line with the continuous efforts of PAM to improve the work environment, raise administrative efficiency, and achieve greater speed and flexibility in resolving disputes. He added that this serves the interests of all parties involved in labor relations and guarantees the stability of the labor market.
