KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: The Embassy of India in Kuwait has announced that beginning October 17, 2025, all Indian passport applications must be submitted exclusively through the new online system, known as Global Passport Seva Programme (GPSP 2.0).
According to the embassy, applications submitted through the old portal will no longer be accepted at the Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) located in Kuwait City, Fahaheel, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, and Jahra after the above date. The new measure aims to streamline the application process and enhance efficiency in service delivery.
Applicants are advised to fill out their passport applications on the new official portal at https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission/
The embassy also emphasized that passport photographs uploaded on the new portal must comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. Detailed guidelines for ICAO-compliant passport photographs are available at https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/pdf/Guidelines_for_ICAO_Compliant_Photographs_for_Passport_Applications.pdf.
In addition, applicants who have already submitted forms using the old portal are required to refill their applications on the new GPSP 2.0 portal. They must upload the necessary documents, photograph, and signature, and then submit the completed form at any of the four ICAC centers across Kuwait.
The new system is expected to simplify the passport application process for Indian nationals residing in Kuwait and ensure compliance with updated international standards.
