‘Not Worth Two Dinars’ - KD 300 Misbah (Rosary) Disappears From Auction

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: A citizen in his 50s has filed a breach-of-trust complaint at Al-Salhiya Police Station against another citizen who allegedly failed to return a rosary entrusted to him for sale through a public auction. According to the complaint, the victim regularly followed social media pages specializing in auctions and contacted the administrator of one such page after deciding to sell a Misbah (rosary) for a minimum price of KD 300. He reportedly handed over the rosary through a representative, expecting it to be listed for auction.

However, after waiting for more than a month and seeing no listing, he contacted the page administrator, who allegedly assured him that the matter would be resolved. Another month passed without the Misbah (rosary) being returned or offered for sale. When the complainant contacted the administrator again and demanded the return of his property, he was allegedly told that the rosary was “not worth two dinars,” after which the administrator blocked his phone number. The complainant then went to Al-Salhiya Police Station and reported the matter as a case of breach of trust. The station’s investigator has ordered the accused, who specializes in selling devices and equipment through public auctions, to be summoned for questioning and to take the necessary legal action.
