KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: The management of the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety at the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) said that its noon work team managed to monitor ten cases of workers violating a prevention notification in the residential city of Al-Mutlaa. The head of the work team, Hamad Al-Makhial, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Monday that the outcome of the inspection campaigns carried out by the team on the sites exceeded 450 sites, in addition to giving about 600 workers notices to avoid a violation, as their companies settled their situations later to avoid a fine.
Al-Makhial added that he saw a great response throughout the team’s work period, which extended from the first of June until the end of the campaign Monday by companies in accordance with the law banning employment at noon in open workplaces. He pointed out that the violations begin by giving the violating worker a notification to avoid a violation, which is a warning to companies to correct their workers’ working hours in open places, in order for the team to implement administrative decisions to protect the rights of workers and preserve their safety.(KUNA)
