KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Minister of State for Municipal and Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari has approved the request of Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company to add activities in all of its outlets within its bakery sites, reports Al-Jarida daily. Al-Mishari approved the decisions that the Municipal Council took during its fourth regular session for the 13th legislative term, held on July 28. The council approved the use of retail outlets at the designated bakery sites of the company, adding activities such as retail sales of all food products manufactured by the company, cold and hot beverages, pies, pastries and sweets, an oven bakery and a tandoor bakery.

The decision allows the use of sites permitted for manufacturing and storage of the company’s products, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Finance, Public Authority for Industry, and other concerned authorities. It also requires the submission of plans, including the activities, for approval by the Urban Planning Department. The technical team is authorized to amend the names in accordance with the Ministry of Commerce code and the names of the Public Authority for Industry, and to adhere to the contract concluded with the Ministry of Finance, particularly the State Property Department. Any previous decisions that contradict this will be repealed.
