No ‘wild parties’ will be allowed in Salwa

KUWAIT CITY, May 29: Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah assured residents in Salwa that security teams will be formed soon to combat negative phenomena and respond to their complaints, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Sheikh Khalid made the announcement recently at the diwaniya of MP Mubarak Al-Harees in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Khalid Al- Dein, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah and Municipal Council Member Abdullah Al-Roomi. He urged the residents in the area to fully cooperate with the Interior Ministry in combating negative phenomena, stressing that the ministry cannot cover all areas in the country without the assistance of citizens.

On the other hand, Al-Tarrah affirmed that the Public Security Sector responded immediately to a report about the immoral activities in an apartment in Salwa. He said the apartment was raided, indicating a citizen rented the apartment under his mother’s name and used it as a party venue during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
