KUWAIT CITY, June 11: Security sources have reiterated to Al-Seyassah that individuals will not be able to carry out certain transactions related to the Ministry of Interior, including vehicle record transfers or renewals until they settle outstanding electricity bills owed to the Ministry of Electricity. This directive, aimed at ensuring financial compliance, underscores the interconnectedness between the Ministries of Electricity and Interior in collecting outstanding dues from Gulf citizens and residents.

This system was implemented months ago and prohibits individuals from leaving the country until all outstanding electricity bills, traffic violations, and other dues to state ministries are paid in full. The Ministry of Interior had previously decided to suspend transactions for individuals with outstanding debts, regardless of their citizenship status.

To avoid disruptions to their transactions, individuals are urged to promptly settle any outstanding amounts owed to the Ministry of Interior. Payments can be made through the Ministry’s website or the Sahl application. This proactive approach aims to facilitate smooth transactions and minimize delays for individuals seeking to complete administrative processes with the Ministry of Interior.
