KUWAIT CITY, Sept 22: The official spokesperson for the Public Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, denied Tuesday reports that an airline operating at Kuwait International Airport had announced the launch of transit flights starting Oct 1.
Al-Rajhi told KUNA that the announcement was inaccurate, stressing that airlines operating at Kuwait International Airport had not been informed or notified of any decision to launch transit flights from the date mentioned.
He urged all airlines operating at the airport to verify information and regulatory decisions before issuing or publishing announcements concerning operations or air services, and to refer to the competent authorities at the Public Authority of Civil Aviation before announcing any operational procedures or arrangements. Al-Rajhi added that the authority condemned the issuance of such inaccurate announcements, which could cause confusion among passengers and the public.
He stressed that the authority is keen to keep passengers and the air transport sector informed of approved official information, noting that any developments or decisions regarding the operation of transit flights would be officially announced through the authority's approved channels. (KUNA)
