There were calls on social media for a rally in support of Gaza this afternoon, but no one had arrived at the location, as of the time when this article was written. In a statement issued by the Directorate General of Security Relations and Media, the ministry announced that it is forbidden to hold gatherings or marches except by the established laws and regulations.

It called on everyone to abide by the laws governing these laws and regulations for holding gatherings or marches. The ministry affirmed that holding gatherings or marches without obtaining a license from the relevant authorities constitutes a violation of the law and exposes one to legal accountability. It also prohibits publishing any advertisements on social media regarding unlicensed gatherings or marches.

It revealed that it had not issued any permit to hold any gathering referred to on social media sites and appealed to everyone to adhere to the laws regulating this matter. From the Kuwaiti Progressive Movement website on the “X” platform Kuwaiti political movements declared their objection to the Ministry of Interior’s statement that bans gatherings in Erada Square in condemnation of the Zionist aggression and solidarity with the Palestinian Arab people and the resistance.
