moi-checksKUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: No room for mistakes and law must be abided by without complacency, stressed Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Sabah late on Tuesday. His remarks came after touring a number of Husseiniyas (congregation halls for Shia commemoration ceremonies) and visiting the ‘decisionmaking’ room of the Interior Ministry earlier.

Accompanying Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled was Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Suleiman Al- Fahad and a number of senior ranks tasked with securing premises of mosques and Husseiniyas during the lunar month of Muharram, said a ministry statement. The Deputy Premier was briefed with plans being implemented on ground through affective security deployment, which also contributed to smooth traffic flow in normally congested areas and exits throughout the six governorates. According to the statement, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled also extended appreciation to owners and caretakers of Husseiniyas for their cooperation. He further provided some notes and recommendations that would contribute in fully achieving the security plan put. (KUNA)
