KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Ministry of Social Affairs says it will not approve the renewal of licenses for pharmacies locate in cooperative societies except for those that abide by law No. 30/2016, reports Al-Rai daily.

Minister of Social Affairs Sa’ad Al-Kharraz affirmed that the ministry will take legal measures against the pharmacies in cooperative societies that do not abide by the aforementioned law.

In response to a parliamentary question, he explained that the ministry gives out the pharmacies for investment based on the request of the cooperative society after verifying its commitment to the relevant law, since no pharmacies belonging to cooperative societies with expired licenses have been floated for investment by Kuwaiti individual except for the pharmacy located in Grenada Cooperative Society which was floated according to the provisions of the law.
