KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: Kuwait Insurance Company (KIC) has announced a free electronic signature activation service for all citizens and residents, whether they are existing customers or not. The service is available to anyone visiting the company’s main building during official working hours, where a specialized team will assist in activating it quickly and easily within minutes, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

With this initiative, KIC reaffirms its role as an active partner in building a digitally advanced Kuwait, enabling everyone to complete their transactions quickly and securely using just their mobile phones. Thanks to the electronic signature service through the Kuwait Mobile ID (Haweiati) application issued by the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), government and banking transactions in Kuwait no longer require paperwork, signatures, or long waiting times. This service allows individuals to electronically sign contracts and documents from anywhere, at any time, securely and legally within Kuwait, without the need for printing or in-person attendance. The electronic signature is linked to the signatory’s civil ID and protected by an encrypted government security system. It is legally recognized as equivalent to a handwritten signature under Kuwaiti law and is accepted by both public and private sector institutions.
