Dr. Imad Saab acquitted in narcotics case; Kuwaiti minister vows justice

KUWAIT CITY, July 31: First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef met today with Dr. Imad Youssef Saab, who was recently acquitted in a high-profile narcotics case. Dr. Saab had been wrongfully accused of maliciously possessing narcotics.

The case, which has attracted significant attention, involved allegations that Dr. Saab was framed by six individuals, including three military personnel from the Ministry of Interior. The accused were reportedly involved in planting narcotics on Dr. Saab with the intent of deporting him from Kuwait.

Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef emphasized during the meeting that no one is above the law. He reiterated the commitment of the security forces to uphold justice, maintain security, and ensure that those responsible for wrongdoing are held accountable. The accused military personnel, along with the other involved individuals, have been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal proceedings.
