KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: The Acting Director General of Kuwait Municipality Saud Al-Dabbous sent a letter to the Head of the Municipal Council Abdullah Al-Mahri regarding the proposal of his deputy Khaled Al-Mutairi for the allocation of a “Haraj” site for the sale of used cars.

According to the letter, there is no need to allocate a new used car sale site based on the previous decisions of the Municipal Council. In addition to that, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to date has not submitted architectural plans for those sites to license and operate in accordance with previous decisions issued by the Municipal Council.

The Municipal Council issued a decision on August 11, 2021, to approve the transfer of the temporary car sale yard located in East Amghara to another location in the same area but reducing its area to 121,600 square meters. Also, a decision was issued by the Municipal Council on September 7, 2020, to approve the allocation of a car sale site of an area of 500,000 square meters in the northern part of Salmi Road. Accordingly, all needs were covered based on those decisions due to which there is no need to issue new allocation decisions.
