Pay fine and leave voluntarily

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: The Ministry of Interior will continue its extensive campaign to apprehend residence violators in various governorates and take legal measures against them to deport them from Kuwait as soon as possible. Residence violators will not be given any new deadline, as the Ministry of Interior taking into consideration the humanitarian aspect during pandemic crisis had already given 4 opportunities with 4 different deadlines for residence violators to take advantage of it by paying fines and correcting the status.

There have been a large number of residence violators, namely due to many expats obtaining visit visas for their family members but unfortunately they did not adhere to the stay period and hence they have been residing in Kuwait for several years.

Total number of residence violators in Kuwait are currently estimated at 160,000. These residence violators did not take advantage of amnesty granted. They still have the opportunity to pay a fine and leave Kuwait voluntarily and return again with a new visa, reports Al Rai. Those violators who are caught by security authorities with their biometric details will be recorded and deported back to their countries and banned from entering Kuwait for life and banned entry in GCC countries for a period of 5 years.

From 3rd Nov to 11th Nov a total of 426 residence violators are deported from these 287 are men and 139 are women.
Meanwhile, the Residence Affairs Department in the Ministry of Interior started to receive visa applications for expats.
