KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: Minister of Finance and State Minister for Economic Affairs Mariam Al-Aqeel has denied the rumors which claim the Environment Public Authority (EPA) received information from official and research bodies about the possibility of high-intensity earthquakes in Kuwait, reports Al-Nahar daily.

The minister clarified that EPA has received a strategic emergency plan to deal with earthquakes and other natural disasters. In response to a parliamentary question, she highlighted that EPA is a supervisory authority in charge of monitoring the environmental aspects of the country in coordination with the other authorities concerned with the environment and environmental changes.
