KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: The Kuwait Traffic Department affirmed that it will not hesitate to take the necessary legal action against violators, underscoring its firm commitment to enforcing the law and curbing reckless behavior on the roads.

Authorities said the latest inspection campaigns resulted in the recording of 319 various traffic violations, the impoundment of 80 vehicles and motorcycles, and the referral of 10 juveniles to the Juvenile Prosecution. A total of 44 violators were placed in precautionary detention, while seven individuals and three vehicles wanted by the relevant authorities were apprehended. One person found without identification was also referred to the competent authorities.

It called on the public to cooperate by reporting traffic violations or dangerous driving through the operations room hotline (112), via the General Traffic Administration’s WhatsApp number (99324092), or by filing a complaint through the “Contact” platform, in a bid to enhance road safety and reduce negative practices.
