KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: While the Director General of the Kuwait Municipality, Engineer Ahmad Al-Manfouhi stressed on the need to control the process of attendance in various departments of the Municipality, and take legal action against those who are absent from work, an official source revealed there has been widespread tampering data with the fingerprint attendance system covering 35 employees in one of the branches of the Municipality, reports Al-Rai daily.

The source explained the female employees have been absent from work for more than a year and that no legal or administrative action had been taken against them.

The source also said their names are not recorded in the attendance statements and annual leave in a clear sign of nepotism.

The source wondered if the Kuwait Municipality head office will spell out their names as part of annual assessment of the staff efficiency report.
