No Leave for Imams and Muezzins During Ramadan

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: The Mosques Sector Department at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has requested that all religious personnel, including imams, preachers, and muezzins, suspend their leave during the holy month of Ramadan and adjust their schedules accordingly to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

A circular was issued to all religious staff, emphasizing that any leave or absence requests must be signed only by the substitute employee, and no one may sign on behalf of another. Also, leave requests must be formally submitted to the department at least one week in advance. Leave extensions are allowed only in emergencies and require a written request submitted to the department director, their representative, or the head of the relevant section.
