LOS ANGELES, Nov 18, (Agencies): Mariah Carey, at 54, disclosed on The Jennifer Hudson Show that she has refrained from driving herself for years and currently does not possess a valid driver's license. While she clarified that she is capable of driving, Carey highlighted the convenience of having someone accompany her in the car. She explained, "If there were one street that I could say, 'OK, this is a safe street for me to drive,' I would do that."

Carey admitted that her license had expired, and when she attempted to renew it after relocating from the city, she discovered it had lapsed seven years prior. Rather than going through the process of retaking the driving test, Carey opted not to renew it at that time. However, she now expressed her intention to rectify the situation, stating, "Now I'm going to try to get the license again."

Despite her current lack of a valid license, Carey remains an avid traveler, currently embarking on her Merry Christmas One and All Tour, which commenced on Nov 15 in Highland, California. The tour, scheduled to conclude on Dec 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, promises an exciting experience for fans, with the added charm of on-stage appearances by Carey's 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
