KUWAIT CITY, Apr 2: The General Authority for Food and Nutrition has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening oversight of slaughterhouses across Kuwait to ensure meat quality and safeguard public health.

Spokesperson and Director of the Slaughterhouses Department, Muhammad Al-Salem, said regulatory teams are carrying out intensive field inspections to monitor operations and ensure compliance with approved health and technical standards, especially under current exceptional circumstances.

He added that the ongoing inspections aim to maintain operational readiness and efficiency, while confirming that the Authority continues round-the-clock monitoring to guarantee food safety and the availability of safe food products.

The Authority also stressed that Kuwait’s food stocks remain stable with no cause for concern, reassuring citizens and residents about the security of the food supply chain and urging reliance on official sources for information while avoiding rumors.
